Facel Vega was introduced in 1954 as the automobile marque of Facel S.A., the French metalworking and coachbuilding company led by Jean Daninos.
Its identity was built around an elegant grand touring image, with badges that commonly combined a red circular center, polished metal detailing, and a stylized FV monogram or Facel Vega wordmark. The emblem reflected the brand's position as a French luxury manufacturer using refined coachbuilt bodies and powerful engines. Production ended in 1964, but the marque's badge remains closely associated with postwar French prestige cars.
