Ranz, known in Chinese as Lang Shi, was introduced in 2013 as a China-market new-energy vehicle brand created by FAW Toyota.
Public information about its logo history is limited, but the identity was presented with a modern blue emblem and wordmark to distinguish it from Toyota's global badge while still connecting it to the joint venture's technology base. The Ranz mark appeared mainly in launch materials and concept-car presentations, especially around the Ranz EV shown at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show. Its branding reflected the early 2010s push by foreign-Chinese joint ventures to create local electric-vehicle marques for China.
