Honda's automobile emblem is built around a stylized capital H, a direct reference to the Honda name and to founder Soichiro Honda. The framed H became associated with Honda cars in the 1960s as the company entered automobile production with models such as the T360 truck and S500 sports car.
Over time, the badge evolved from flatter, simpler forms into the familiar upright H set inside a rounded rectangular frame, often rendered in chrome on vehicles and red in corporate communications. In 2024, Honda also introduced a new H mark for its next-generation electric vehicles, a more open form intended to signal a new era for the brand.
